Starting in Trier, follow in the footsteps of the Romans along the ‘Roman wine route’.

Points of interest along the route include Longuich, with the Roman Villa Urbana, a beautifully restored temple complex; Mehring, with its reconstructed Roman Villa Rustica; Pölich, a historical ‘pulchra villa’ (a pretty country house) with a Roman aqueduct; and Detzem, with a replica of the tenth milestone on the Roman road which ran from Trier to Mainz, for which Detzem is named – ‘Ad Decimum Lapidem’.
